If they do persist, Ten Hag may be persuaded to consider freeing up resources by offloading several players this summer, so as to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations.

Martial may also be sold before his contract expires next year if he fails to prove his worth – although his six goals in fourteen appearances suggest otherwise – and Telles might find himself with another club should calls for him to start far outweigh those for Williams on the left back position.
Lastly, Bailly may seek a permanent move away from Man Utd following a controversial loan spell with Marseille during which he was handed an appalling red card during their French Cup tie.
