Fikayo Tomori, the AC Milan defender, successfully limited the influence of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen during their recent UEFA Champions League quarter-final match against Napoli.

Tomori, who was tasked with man-marking Osimhen, was able to keep him at bay for the majority of the game, with Milan ultimately holding Napoli to a 1-1 draw.

Osimhen’s late goal in stoppage time gave Napoli a glimmer of hope, but Tomori and his defensive partner Simon Kjaer were able to hold on and secure a place in the semi-finals.

Speaking after the game, Tomori revealed that he focused on getting his body between Osimhen and the ball, and limiting the amount of space he had to work with.

Despite Osimhen’s late goal, Tomori and Milan were able to frustrate Napoli and limit their opportunities.

Osimhen has been a key player for Napoli this season, scoring five goals in six Champions League appearances.
