Victor Osimhen, the Super Eagles attacker, has credited Gennaro Gattuso and Luciano Spalletti for his development as a player.
Osimhen has improved his drive and self-esteem under Gattuso’s support, and he acknowledges that his growth has been accelerated by the work done under the direction of his new boss, Spalletti.
Osimhen has been in top form for Napoli, scoring 25 goals in 29 appearances for the Gli Azzurri.
He was brought to the Diego Maradona stadium in the 2020 summer window by Gattuso, who had been following him for some time.
However, Osimhen revealed in an interview with France Football that he owes a lot to Gattuso for working on his motivation and self-esteem, while Spalletti has helped him grow even more over the months.
Spalletti has asked Osimhen to be explosive and like dynamite for opposing defenses, and they have worked on his running, distances from defenders, and how to react to assists.
Although Osimhen is currently sidelined due to an injury, he hopes to rejoin the squad soon.
