Napoli’s president has revealed a bizarre twist in negotiations for Victor Osimhen’s transfer, stating that while bids for the Nigerian forward will be considered this summer, he has already agreed to extend his stay with the Serie A champions until 2027.
Osimhen’s impressive performances, including 31 goals in 39 appearances, have attracted interest from Premier League clubs such as Manchester United and Chelsea.
However, it is thought that a bid in excess of £100 million will be needed to sign him, as he has two years remaining on his contract in Naples.
While club president Aurelio De Laurentiis confirmed that bids for Osimhen would be listened to, he also claimed that a contract extension had already been agreed upon, although there has been no official confirmation of this claim.
