Dimitri De Condé, KRC Genk’s Head of Football, has explained why they signed Nigerian attacker Tolu Arokodare as a replacement for Paul Onuachu.
He said it was due to Arokodare’s agility and technique when shooting at the goal.
Following Onuachu’s move to Southampton, Genk needed an appropriate alternative, which eventually became Arookode.
He has since signed a 4-and-a-half year deal with the Belgian leaders and De Condé believes he can become even better in the future under the guidance of their staff.
The Head of Football also noted his physicality, speed and ability in the air as reasons that make him stand out.
It remains unclear if Arookode will join up with the team for their visit to Eupen or make his debut against Gent on Sunday.
