Erik ten Hag explains why Wout Weghorst played as a No 10 for Manchester United vs Barcelona

Here Is The Easy Money-Making Trick Everyone Is Talking About! Learn More Here!

Erik ten Hag revealed the tactical reasoning behind deploying Wout Weghorst as a No. 10 in Manchester United’s match against Barcelona.

The Dutchman wanted Weghorst to provide an effective press on the Catalans and create space for other members of the front three like Marcus Rashford, Bruno Fernandes and Jadon Sancho.

Despite his offensive prowess, Weghorst has only scored one goal from nine appearances since joining United on loan at the beginning of the campaign, wasting a first-half one-on-one chance in this particular game.

Ten Hag also emphasized that although Casemiro made a mistake leading up to Barcelona’s equalizing goal late in the second half, it had nothing to do with brave passing but more to do with poor formation and scanning by the team.
