WhatsApp users can now edit messages they have already sent with the messaging service’s new feature.
Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, announced the update on Monday, stating that users can now correct misspellings or add more context to a message up to 15 minutes after sending it.
To use the feature, users must tap and hold the message they wish to edit and select the “Edit” option from the menu.
Previously, users had to delete messages or send a separate correction message.
The feature is currently rolling out to users and will be available to everyone in a few weeks.
Other messaging platforms, such as Telegram and Signal, already offer message editing features, while Twitter allows premium users access to an edit button.
