Joe Igbokwe, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has called for the resignation of Senator Abdullahi Adamu, the National Chairman of the APC.
This call comes in light of the disagreement between Adamu and the leadership of the National Assembly regarding the appointment of principal officers.
Igbokwe believes that Adamu can no longer be trusted and should step down from his position.
He points to Adamu’s public dismissal of the list of principal officers, which he believes goes against the endorsement of the party’s leader, the president.
Igbokwe also mentions Adamu’s previous support for Ahmed Lawan as the party’s presidential candidate, which he sees as a breach of trust.
Igbokwe suggests that even if Adamu was not satisfied with the list, he should not have made it public.
He concludes by stating that it is time for Adamu to be eased out of his position, but trusts that Asiwaju, a reference to Bola Tinubu, a prominent APC leader, knows what to do.
