Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has warned candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the National and State Assembly polls not to forget their allegiance to him and join the group of PDP’s Abuja faction.
The Governor made this statement during a rally in Obio/Akpor Local Government, the last campaign event for PDP in the state.
He threatened that if any of the candidates go against his wishes and give in to Atiku Abubakar’s camp, they will face harsh punishment, just as those before them who have betrayed him.
This threat was directed towards all candidates including Senatorial, Deputy Chairman, Chief Allwell Onyeso, Barinada Mpigi, House Representatives, and Assembly Candidates.
Governor Wike’s hostility towards Atiku Abubakar stems from when he lost the primaries held last year.
