The All England Lawn Tennis Club has confirmed that the men’s and women’s champions at Wimbledon 2025 will each receive $4.07 million, setting a new record for Grand Slam tournaments.

According to UPI, the total prize pool for this year’s event will be $72.5 million, reflecting a 7% increase from last year. Players who exit in the first round will still earn nearly $90,000.

Deborah Levans, chair of the All England Lawn Tennis Club, emphasized the tournament’s approach: “This year’s round-by-round breakdown shows our focus on both the early and late rounds of the draw, rewarding the successes of our champions, but also continuing to support the lower-ranked players.”

Wimbledon 2025, scheduled from June 30 to July 13 in London, will feature Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz and other top stars. For the first time, line judges will not participate, as Wimbledon introduces full electronic line calling across all matches.

Officials also confirmed a change to the Wimbledon finals schedule. The men’s and women’s singles finals will now start at 11 a.m. EDT, two hours later than previous years, aiming to attract the largest possible global audience.
