Gunmen attacked the Erawha-Owhe country home of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) House of Representatives member-elect for Isoko federal constituency, Jonathan Ukodhiko.

The incident took place in March in the Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, Nigeria, but was only recently revealed.

According to a former council chairman of the Isoko North Local Government Area, the attack took place at midnight, resulting in the theft of over 10 live cows and other animals from Ukodhiko’s compound.

The gunmen also killed a cattle rearer, who was later discovered in a nearby bush after several days of search.

Ukodhiko confirmed the attack and stated that the police are currently investigating the matter.

The attack has been condemned by the Isoko North community, describing it as a heinous and wicked act.

The police have taken over the case, but no arrest has been made so far.

The incident highlights the growing insecurity in Nigeria, particularly in rural areas, where gunmen have continued to perpetrate crimes ranging from cattle rustling to kidnapping and armed robbery.

The country has been grappling with security challenges in recent years, with various criminal elements taking advantage of the weak security infrastructure to unleash terror on citizens.
