Ebenezer Babatope, a leading figure of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has issued a warning to the G-5 faction and Governor Wike about attempting to gain too much power.
The G-5 is composed of five governors who have demanded that current PDP National Chairman Senator Iyorchia Ayu resigns in order for them to support Atiku Abubakar’s 2023 presidential aspirations.
In response, Babatope has cautioned that if the G-5 chooses to take this path, they may “make mistakes and may regret it”.
He further expressed that any attempts to overstep their bounds in terms of claiming too much power will only serve to cost them the support of their followers.
