Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar visited former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Ali Pantami, at his Abuja residence on Thursday night – www.naijnaira.com reports.
Pantami shared the news on X, where he revealed that their talks focused on pressing issues affecting Nigeria.
“The visit centred on meaningful discussions on the economy, education, unity, and governance,” Pantami wrote in his post.
This meeting happened just days after Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, also visited Pantami at his Abuja home.
Observers see these visits as early moves connected to the 2027 presidential election cycle.
Reports indicate that both Atiku and Obi may likely seek the African Democratic Congress, ADC, presidential ticket for the next election.
Pantami described Atiku as “His Excellency, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, GCON, former Vice President of Nigeria and the Presidential Candidate of the PDP in 2023,” while appreciating his visit.
The Abuja visit is already attracting strong political attention, with many linking it to ongoing opposition realignments ahead of 2027.
