The Kano Emirate has been thrown into mourning following the sudden death of Alhaji Idris Muhammadu Adamu Dankabo, the Hakimin Kabo and Sarkin Gabas, who died at 48 — www.naijnaira.com reports.
He lost his life in a car accident in Kano city, leaving the royal family and community in deep shock.
The late monarch was the son of Alhaji Muhammadu Adamu Dankabo, the respected Jarman Kano and founder of Kabo Air.
Known for his humility and leadership, Idris Dankabo continued his father’s legacy of service within the emirate.
His passing has created a painful void among his people, who regarded him as a bridge between tradition and modernity.
Family sources confirmed that he is survived by his wife and two young children.
The funeral prayer (Jana’iza) is scheduled to take place at the Emir’s Palace, with His Highness Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II expected to lead the rites.
