An exclusive video has surfaced online showing a woman caught sitting the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) examination on behalf of Taraba State Commissioner for Finance, Sarah Enoch Adi — www.naijnaira.com reports.
The footage obtained by SaharaReporters shows supervisors grilling the suspect, who identified herself as Leavitt Felix.
During the tense exchange, Felix admitted she was in the hall for “Sarah Enoch Adi” before eventually revealing her real name.
At one point, an exam officer asked her directly, “Mention it louder; you’re writing for Sarah Adi, right?” and she confirmed.
Supervisors accused her of providing false details that didn’t match their system records, which already contained Sarah Adi’s information.
One officer stressed, “I checked the student’s registration number, and the data confirmed the person you’re linked to.”
Felix, however, insisted she did not personally know the commissioner, claiming someone called Joshua contracted her for the job.
Pressed further, she said she couldn’t provide Joshua’s surname or workplace, which raised more suspicion.
Supervisors in the room threatened to involve the police if she failed to disclose full details of those who hired her.
This incident comes just weeks after Taraba civil servants demanded the removal of Adi and the Accountant General over controversies in a biometric verification exercise.
Workers accused the ministry of wrongfully removing over 7,000 names, including directors, from the payroll during the June 2025 verification.
The exercise, supervised by Adi, tagged the affected employees as “ghost workers,” which triggered outrage and a strike.
Civil servants appealed to Governor Agbu Kefas to replace Adi with someone they considered competent to restore trust in the process.
Sarah Adi, who holds a Doctorate in Accounting from Nasarawa State University, was appointed Commissioner in August 2023.
She also earned a Master’s degree in Banking and Finance from Ahmadu Bello University in 2011 and diplomas from Plateau and Kaduna Polytechnics earlier in her career.
Born in Wukari, Taraba State, in 1973, Adi has served as a prominent figure in Governor Kefas’s cabinet since her appointment.
