Sir Jim Ratcliffe is looking to purchase Manchester United, which would place him among the top five Premier League owners with a reported net worth of around £12.6 billion.
Other wealthy Premier League owners include Sheikh Mansour (Manchester City), who has an estimated net worth of £24.4billion; and the owners of Chelsea, Todd Boehly, Hansjorg Wyss and Mark Walter, whose combined fortunes are worth £12bn.
Stan Kroenke follows in fifth place with a fortune of £10.5bn, closely followed by Aston Villa’s Wesley Edens and Nassef Sawiris who have a combined wealth of £9.4 bn between them.
At the very top of this list are the owners of Newcastle UnitedSaudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund – their staggering combined wealth of over £430bn blows their rivals out of the water.
