Senator Oluremi Tinubu has called for urgent and comprehensive reforms of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program.
Ms. Tinubu, wife of All Progressives Congress presidential candidate Bola Tinubu, made the call during Wednesday’s second edition of the APC Professionals Forum Symposium in Abuja.
She stressed the need for changes to help reduce bottlenecks faced by graduates looking for employment after service and incentivize corporate recruitment from the scheme.
Additionally, Ms. Tinubu proposed the development of innovation and productivity hubs through business incubation centers that would offer mentorship and support to young innovators.
She also highlighted plans on increasing intellect property registration and protection procedures such as copyright, patent, and trademark regulations.
