PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi is said to be driving the decision, as he wants to set an example for the rest of the squad and shift the power away from star players like Messi, Neymar, and Kylian Mbappe.
According to journalist Ben Jacobs, this move is evidence of a culture change at PSG towards more discipline and less player power.
