The Central Bank of Nigeria has given approval to four local firms for printing cheques, with the exception of Nigeria Security Printing and Minting Company PLC.
The decision was announced in a circular issued by the bank, which listed the approved firms as Superflux International Limited, Tripple Gee and Company, Yaliam Press Limited, and Marvelous Mike Press.
The circular also revealed that seven banks had been approved as personalisers of cheques, including Zenith Bank Plc, Ecobank Plc, First Bank Ltd, Stanbic IBTC Bank Plc, Keystone Bank Ltd, Providus Bank Ltd, and Wema Bank Plc.
All accredited printers and personalisers have been notified and issued certificates.
The Nigeria Security Printing and Minting Company Plc and Euphoria Group Limited were previously accredited and approved in 2014.
