Following the controversy surrounding Ejimeme Joy Mmesoma’s exam results, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has made the decision to prohibit her from taking the examination for the next three years.
JAMB’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, confirmed this in a statement, stating that the Board firmly stands by its determination that the candidate’s result is fraudulent.
Mmesoma had claimed to have scored 362, but JAMB disputed this, stating that her actual score was 249.
The issue sparked various opinions on social media, but JAMB maintains that Mmesoma committed a serious offense.
The Board assures Nigerians that its system was not compromised and that Mmesoma falsified the result slip of another candidate named ‘Asimiyu Mariam Omobolanle’, who scored 138 in the 2021 UTME.
As a consequence of her actions, JAMB has invalidated Mmesoma’s 2023 UTME result and banned her from taking any exams conducted by the Board for the next three years.
