Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) has once again been named the best polytechnic in Nigeria, maintaining its top position for the sixth consecutive year.
The biannual Webometrics ranking, released in July 2023, confirmed YABATECH’s continued excellence.
The college also moved up two steps in the ranking, surpassing universities and widening the gap between itself and the second-place polytechnic by 17 steps.
The ranking is based on web content impact, top-cited researchers, and papers published on research platforms online.
YABATECH’s success can be attributed to the support provided by the management to research units and the Center for Information and Technology Management (CITM).
The college has implemented strategies to improve its ranking by increasing the quantity and quality of its web content.
Under the leadership of Dr. Ibraheem Abdul, the rector, YABATECH aims to achieve academic excellence and stand among its global counterparts.
