Harry Kane’s debut with Bayern Munich ended in disappointment as his new team suffered a 3-0 defeat to RB Leipzig in the German Super Cup.
Kane, who had just completed a move from Tottenham, came on as a substitute in the 64th minute with Bayern already trailing 2-0.
However, he was unable to make an impact as Leipzig’s Dani Olmo completed his hat-trick soon after.
Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel expressed sympathy for Kane, stating that the team’s performance was “frightening” and “unexplainable.”
Kane, who joined Bayern for a fee of over 100 million euros, must now wait for his first major silverware.
