Victor Osimhen has been given just one week to decide whether he will extend his stay with Galatasaray or return to Napoli, where his loan spell is set to expire.

According to Turkish outlet A Spor, the Turkish champions have informed the Nigerian forward that he must communicate his decision within seven days. The club is keen to finalise its summer transfer plans, especially with several other positions requiring reinforcement.

The 25-year-old striker has been instrumental in Galatasaray’s title-winning campaign, quickly becoming a fan favourite and their top scorer. However, while Osimhen’s impact on the pitch has been clear, talks about a permanent deal have stalled behind closed doors.

Reports indicate that despite interest from Galatasaray, no concrete offer has met Osimhen’s expectations. Meanwhile, his representatives have engaged in discussions with Saudi clubs Al-Hilal and Neom FC over a potential €40 million-per-year deal.

Napoli remain firm in their stance that any permanent deal for the Super Eagles striker must meet the €75 million release clause in his contract. The Italian side has insisted the full fee must be paid upfront, leaving Galatasaray in a difficult position as they also look to strengthen other key areas such as goalkeeper and attacking midfield.

As transfer talks hang in the balance, Osimhen has yet to deliver a definitive response regarding his future.

According to Turkish journalist Yakup Çınar on the Yeni Açık YouTube channel, “He still hasn’t received the offer he was expecting, and he hasn’t held any formal meetings with the club’s management. The Saudi proposition is real, but Victor is waiting for something from Europe.”

Çınar also revealed that Juventus have made an enquiry, though Osimhen reportedly prefers staying in Istanbul over a move to Turin.

Despite all the speculation, the forward’s ultimate dream might lie in England or Spain. He has already played in Germany, Belgium, France, and Italy, and sources suggest he is monitoring interest from Manchester City, Chelsea, and even Barcelona.

With the clock ticking, Galatasaray’s front office is under pressure to act fast. Osimhen’s next move could shift the balance of the upcoming transfer window.
