The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 is expected to bring a larger, almost bezel-free display to the foldable phone lineup. According to a recent leak via Phandroid, the phone will have the same screen size as the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition but with reduced bezels, increasing the usable display area to nearly 8.2 inches.
Leaker @PandaFlashPro claims the Galaxy Z Fold 7’s screen will match the 8-inch display size of the Special Edition model but with smaller bezels than the Galaxy Z Fold 6. This could explain earlier confusion about whether the screen would be 8 or 8.2 inches. The report also denies the existence of a Galaxy Z Fold 7 Ultra, suggesting the standard Fold 7 might serve that role instead.
Previous rumors support these claims, noting that bezel widths could shrink from 1.9mm on the Fold 6 to around 1mm on the Fold 7. While it’s unclear if the Fold 7 will use the exact same display panel as the Special Edition, the resolution is likely to remain around 1968 x 2184 pixels.
Beyond the screen, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is expected to include a 200MP camera, Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, a larger cover screen, a smaller crease on the foldable display, and a slimmer design. These upgrades could position the Fold 7 as a premium flagship despite no Ultra version being released.
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is anticipated to launch in July alongside the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7, marking a significant update in Samsung’s foldable phone range.
