Paul Mukairu has officially left FC Copenhagen and signed with Polish top-flight side Pogon Szczecin, NaijNaira can report.
The deal was confirmed by FC Copenhagen through a statement posted on their official website.
Mukairu, who joined the Danish champions in mid-2023, featured in 25 games for the club before moving on just six months before his contract was set to expire.
The 25-year-old Nigerian forward caught attention during a loan spell at Boluspor, where he led the Turkish 1. Lig with 14 assists and added seven goals in 34 appearances.
He outperformed Ryan Mendes of Kocaelispor and Florian Loshaj of Istanbulspor in the assist charts during the 2024-2025 campaign.
Following that breakout season, Pogon Szczecin moved quickly to secure his signature on a two-year deal, which includes an option to extend until the 2027-2028 season.
In his first comments as a Pogon Szczecin player, Mukairu told the club’s official website, “I am very happy to be here. After talking to the President, the coach and other people from the club, I decided that this would be an interesting step in my career.”
He added, “I know that the club wants to do something historic, and it is always good to be a part of something like that.”
Mukairu will wear the number 18 shirt for the upcoming season as he begins a new chapter in Poland’s Ekstraklasa.
