Fenerbahce have opened talks with Wilfred Ndidi as they move to beat Bundesliga clubs to the Nigerian midfielder’s signature, NaijNaira can report. The Turkish side is looking to add experience and power to its midfield and has approached Ndidi’s camp ahead of a possible transfer.
According to Fotomac, Fenerbahce are working closely with agent Muzzi Özcan, and club president Ali Koç is personally involved in pushing the deal forward. Ndidi, currently under contract at Leicester City until 2027, is expected to leave after their relegation from the Premier League.
The Super Eagles midfielder is not keen on another Championship season and is open to a move, with Fenerbahce now leading the chase. Juventus, Manchester United, and Everton have also shown interest, while Bundesliga clubs are tracking the situation, reports Florian Plettenberg via GFNG.
“He’s what Man Utd need,” a former Nigerian international recently said of Ndidi’s fit in the Premier League.
Leicester value Ndidi at around €11 million, significantly lower than his former peak market value of €60 million.
With José Mourinho at the helm, Fenerbahce hope Ndidi’s arrival will help their Champions League push and strengthen their midfield for the coming season.
