Following the arrest and ongoing probe of the suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, a political activist and former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Timi Frank, has called for the questioning of the Managing Directors of Access Bank and Guaranty Trust Bank (GTB).
Frank alleges that the two bank chiefs were accomplices in aiding subversion and misappropriation of public funds.
He has also appealed to the government of the United Kingdom (UK) to cooperate with Nigerian security agencies in inviting the duo for questioning.
Frank claims that invitations for the probe have already been sent to the two managing directors.
He further states that the MD of GTBank has expressed unwillingness to return to the country for cross-examination by the Department of State Service (DSS) and is currently in the UK.
Frank also implicates four other managing directors of tier one banks in the country as accomplices to Emefiele, with the Access and GTBank MDs playing significant roles in defrauding the nation.
He calls on the UK government to disallow any extended stay for these individuals in the UK and urges the DSS to bring the enemies of Nigeria to book.
Frank also highlights the alleged fraudulent acquisition of two private jets by the GTBank MD, which is not officially recorded.
