BellaNaija confirmed that the project was launched on World Sickle Cell Day, June 19, through the Adekunle Gold Foundation.
In a heartfelt video, Adekunle Gold shared, “Today is World Sickle Cell Day, and today, I’m proud to announce something that’s deeply personal to me.”
The 5 Star Care initiative is built to offer real support to people living with sickle cell disease in Lagos.

Through 5 Star Care, Adekunle Gold is focused on making sickle cell warriors feel seen, supported, and cared for.
The free health insurance plan is the first step toward easing the high cost of managing sickle cell disease.
