The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed the date for the group stage draw of the AFCON 2023 tournament, which will take place in Ivory Coast.
The draw is set to occur on October 12, 2023, as announced by the CAF Executive Committee during its Congress in Algiers, Algeria.
Defending champions Senegal, along with Algeria, Tunisia, Burkina-Faso, Morocco, and South Africa, have already secured their spots in the competition.
The host nation, Côte d’Ivoire, will also participate. Nigeria, currently holding the top spot in Group A with nine points from four games, has yet to qualify but can take a step closer to doing so when they face Sierra Leone on June 19, 2023.
