Akwa Ibom APC expels Ita Enang, Ex-Special Adviser to President Buhari

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akwa Ibom State has expelled Ita Enang, the former Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari, for engaging in activities deemed to be against the party’s directives.

The decision followed recommendations from Enang’s ward in Ibiono Ibom LGA of the state and was ratified by the APC state working committee led by chairman Stephen Ntukekpo.

It was alleged that Senator Enang had associations with the rival People’s Democratic Party and had failed to adhere to the directives of his own party.

Consequently, he has been officially expelled from APC. This action comes only a week after an appeals court upheld Akanimo Udofia as the legitimate APC candidate for Akwa Ibom State.
