On Wednesday, Orji Uzor Kalu offered a clue to the meaning of Governor Samuel Ortom’s support for Peter Obi.
Kalu, who serves as Senate Chief Whip, claimed on Channels TV that the five “G5” governors from the People’s Democratic Party have made up their minds to work exclusively on behalf of Bola Tinubu, the APC presidential candidate in the upcoming February 25th elections.
He alleged that this was true even of those governors such as Benue’s Samuel Ortom who had pledged loyalty to a different party candidate.
The G5 are governors Nyesom Wike (Rivers), Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia), Seyi Makinde (Oyo), and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu) in addition to Ortom.
