The All Progressives Congress (APC) has declared the purported sack of Chief Victor Giadom and Ita Udosen, the South-South Zonal Chairman and Secretary, as illegal and unconstitutional.
The removal of the APC leaders was ratified in a special resolution signed by acting zonal Chairman/Zonal Organizing Secretary, Blessing Agbomhere, and others in Port Harcourt on Saturday.
However, the National Publicity Secretary of APC, Felix Morka, has stated that the act was perpetrated by individuals who do not have the authority to take such a decision.
Morka emphasized that Giadom and Udosen remain the South-South Zonal Vice Chairman and Secretary of the Party, respectively, and the action taken against them should be disregarded.
The origins of the conflict between Giadom and the zonal executive committee are related to his refusal to call for meetings and his alleged disruption of efforts to transact political business in the zone.
