The Ondo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has stated that it will not interfere in the ongoing impeachment proceedings against the Deputy Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
The impeachment process was initiated by the state House of Assembly following a petition accusing Aiyedatiwa of gross misconduct during his time as acting governor.
The APC Chairman, Ade Adetimehin, emphasized that the impeachment proceedings are solely a legislative affair and the party will not meddle in it.
The Ondo State House of Assembly has also assured that the impeachment process will be fair and conducted in accordance with due process.
They clarified that the allegation letter served to the deputy governor does not equate to an impeachment verdict and that they are committed to upholding their constitutional responsibilities.
