Nigerian film actor Jerry Williams has reportedly been taken into police custody after officers arrived at his Delta State residence early Monday morning, July 21, 2025, NaijNaira can report.
According to News, the arrest was reportedly carried out with the assistance of Nwafor Franklin, known in the industry as Izutech.
Actor Stanley Ontop shared a video on social media claiming Jerry was forcefully taken to Benin, Edo State, raising concerns about his safety.
Stanley alleged that Izutech owes N2.5 million collected from producers hoping to cast Jerry in new movie projects.
“If anything happens to Jerry, Izu should be held responsible,” Stanley said in his video, pointing to Izutech’s role in the incident.
He added, “Izu went to Jerry Williams’ house in the early hours of today and bundled him to Benin with help from some Nigerian police officers.”
This development comes just months after Jerry completed rehabilitation treatment related to substance misuse and resumed his Nollywood career.
Meanwhile, in a separate case, a Federal High Court in Lagos has granted bail to activist Scott Iguma, who faces charges over a viral video and alleged threats.
