Arsenal Boss Mikel Arteta Provides Injury Update on Saka and Martinelli

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has given an update on the injury concerns surrounding Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli.

The duo suffered injuries during Arsenal’s 6-0 victory over Sheffield United in the Premier League on Monday.

Saka was substituted at half-time after being seen speaking to the club physio, while Martinelli needed assistance as he limped off the pitch in the 63rd minute. Saka’s substitution was due to him feeling unwell, according to Arteta.

The manager also mentioned that they wanted to give some playing time to Fabio Vieira, which influenced the decision to replace Saka.

Regarding Martinelli’s injury, Arteta explained that the young forward had a cut on his foot.

The severity of the injury is yet to be determined, and further assessment will be carried out to determine his availability for upcoming matches.

Despite the injury concerns, Arsenal secured an impressive victory with goals from Martin Odegaard, an own goal by Jayden Bogle, Martinelli, Kai Havertz, Declan Rice, and Ben White.

The win provided a much-needed boost for the team, who are aiming to finish the season strongly.
