Mikel Arteta has provided updates on Thomas Partey and Emile Smith Rowe ahead of Arsenal’s trip to Everton in the Premier League this Saturday.
Partey is still a doubt with a rib injury he suffered in the FA Cup match against Manchester City, however, he could potentially train with the squad today and a decision will be made.
Meanwhile, Smith Rowe will be absent due to a thigh problem, while long-term absentees Gabriel Jesus and Mohamed Elneny are also part of the injured contingent.
If Partey does not make it for Saturday, Jorginho could make his debut for Arsenal as the Italian midfielder recently signed from Chelsea before the transfer window closed.
Smith Rowe’s frustrating season continues as he has had limited appearances due to injuries, but will have to wait for another opportunity for an impact.
