Arsenal Approach Could Scupper Tottenham's Harry Kane Replacement Plans

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly eyeing Brighton’s Evan Ferguson as a potential long-term replacement for Harry Kane, whose contract with the club ends next season.

However, their north London rivals Arsenal may pose a challenge in securing the Republic of Ireland striker’s services.

Brighton has shown in the past that they are not willing to be bullied into selling their star players, as evidenced by their refusal to sell Moises Caicedo to Arsenal in the winter transfer window.

Tottenham’s interest in Ferguson may face similar resistance from Brighton.

Despite this, Spurs have identified the 18-year-old forward as a potential successor to Kane, who has been linked with a move to Manchester United.

While Tottenham will try to keep Kane at the club, they may be forced to sell him if he refuses to sign a new contract.

Ferguson, who joined Brighton from Bohemians in 2021, has already scored three goals in the Premier League and made his senior debut for the Republic of Ireland last November.
