Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has suggested that William Saliba may make a return to the team for their upcoming match against Liverpool, while also confirming that Bukayo Saka is fully fit.
Saliba has been out of action for the past two games due to a back injury sustained during a Europa League match.
Arteta hinted that the center-back could be involved in Sunday’s game at Anfield, stating that there were “no real changes with the rest of the players that were still injured” but that there was “hope with one of them who will maybe be able to train.”
While Arteta did not specifically name Saliba, it is unlikely that it could be anyone else given the nature of the injuries of other absent players.
Arteta had previously expressed confidence that Saliba would return before the end of the season, saying that the defender was “so willing to be back in the team.”
Arsenal will face Liverpool on Sunday as they look to maintain their lead over Manchester City in the Premier League.
