Gabby Agbonlahor isn’t fazed by recent rumors linking Liverpool to Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins.

Reports suggest Liverpool’s new manager, Arne Slot, eyes Watkins as a replacement for Darwin Nunez.

However, Agbonlahor, a Villa icon, dismisses these claims, asserting that Villa wouldn’t part with Watkins, even for £100 million.

Watkins had a remarkable season, scoring 19 Premier League goals and providing 13 assists, earning him the playmaker of the season award.

His contributions were instrumental in Villa’s successful campaign, securing them fourth place and Champions League qualification under Unai Emery’s guidance.

Agbonlahor, speaking on talkSPORT, expressed unwavering confidence in Watkins, citing his reliability and exceptional fitness record.

Despite the lure of big offers, Agbonlahor emphasized Watkins’ value to Villa’s project, highlighting his clinical finishing and his pivotal role in the team.

He noted that Watkins signed a lengthy contract until 2028 in October, suggesting Villa’s commitment to retaining him.

Agbonlahor indicated that Villa’s ambition is evident in Emery’s recent five-year contract signing, signaling a long-term strategy of building a competitive squad.
