Idirissu Amin, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Campaign Council and a close ally of former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, has passed away after a prolonged illness, according to family sources.
Amin was the former chairman of Maiha Local Government Council in Adamawa state and was known for his charismatic personality and fearless political activism.
The Chief Press Secretary to the Adamawa State governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, expressed his condolences and described Amin as a leader in his own right who had rendered immeasurable service to the nation.
The people of Maiha Local Government Area and Adamawa were also extended condolences, with prayers for the deceased to rest in Aljannah.
