Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, met with a delegation of PDP stakeholders from Rivers State late Sunday night in Abuja to address issues concerning election-related violence and intimidation there.
Atiku expressed his anxiety over the situation and stressed that no political ambition is worth the blood of any Nigerian.
He added that a commitment must be made to protect the lives of citizens by thinking and acting innovatively.
Moreover, he said he has had a deep connection to several families in Rivers State for decades and it informed why he was confident that the state’s people would support PDP and its presidential bid.
Atiku also promised that transportation infrastructure in Rivers State would receive priority attention under an Atiku/Okowa presidency, along with other initiatives such as completing East-West Road, revamping the Presidential Amnesty Program (PAP), and economic empowerment schemes for youth.
He urged those present to turn out massively on 25th February 2023 to cast their votes for PDP and reminded them of their sacrifice which will be rewarded if they do so.
