Reports have recently linked Aston Villa with a potential transfer move for Chelsea striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The 33-year-old left Arsenal at the end of 2021 after a falling out with Mikel Arteta, and went on to have a short spell at Barcelona.
Aubameyang has since found it hard to hit consistent form and game time under Thomas Tuchel and Graham Potter at Chelsea, leading to speculation that he may be set for another move sooner rather than later.
It is believed that manager Unai Emery could be keen on bringing his former talisman back in, having seen him share the golden boot with Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane during their time together at Arsenal.
A proposed summer move back to Barcelona is also an option for Aubameyang, according to reports.
To replace Aubameyang in their attack, Chelsea have signed David Datro Fofana and Mykhaylo Mudryk this winter, whilst Aston Villa are reportedly looking for another experienced centre forward before the January window closes – with Moussa Dembele from Lyon believed to be high on their list of targets.
