Yesterday morning (February 8) a bus driver allegedly crashed his vehicle into a daycare centre located in the city of Laval, Quebec, Canada.
Two children were killed in the accident and six more were injured.
Witnesses reported that the bus was travelling around 30-40kmh at the time of impact and that it did not appear to be an accident; there were no skid marks or warning signs beforehand.
After crashing into the daycare centre, Pierre Ny St-Amand -the driver of the bus- allegedly began screaming incoherently and started stripping off his clothing items.
Passersby had to restrain him before medical attention could be taken for the injured children.
Reportedly, twelve people required medical attention after the incident with eight children being taken to the hospital.
As well as charges of homicide and dangerous driving, St-Amand will also have to answer questions regarding his bizarre behaviour at the scene wherein he refused to cooperate with authorities.
Neighbours who know St-Amand personally are still shocked by his actions, describing him as friendly and caring towards his own family and members of their local community.
