Bayern Munich kicked off the final Bundesliga weekend of 2024 with a 5-1 victory over RB Leipzig at the Allianz Arena.

The match began at a fast pace and Bayern took the lead within 30 seconds when Jamal Musiala tapped in a cross from Harry Kane and Michael Olise.

However, Leipzig responded quickly, equalizing just two minutes later on the counter.

Bayern regained the lead in the 25th minute, as Konrad Laimer scored against his former club, finishing a pass from Olise.

Joshua Kimmich extended the lead to 3-1 before the break, firing a shot past Leipzig goalkeeper Peter Gulasci after being set up by Musiala.

The second half saw Bayern dominate, with Leroy Sané and Musiala both missing chances to add to the scoreline.

Leipzig’s chances were limited, and Bayern finally made it 4-1 when Alphonso Davies brilliantly assisted Sané for a one-on-one finish.

Bayern sealed the win when Davies scored from a Kimmich cross, making it 5-1.

Despite missing goals from Kane, his presence was crucial in Bayern’s all-around performance, proving to be a difference-maker.

The victory pushed Bayern into a strong position before the international break.
