Godwin Emefiele, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor has put in an appearance to address the House of Representatives Ad Hoc committee about its investigations into the Nigerian currency redesign and naira swap policy.
This latest development follows multiple invitations from lawmakers who had earlier threatened to issue a warrant for his arrest if no one from the CBN was present on Tuesday (today).
Femi Gbajabiamila, Speaker of House made it known that he will be issuing a warrant for the Inspector-General of Police to make sure that Governor Emefiele kept his promise as he is today accompanied by top officials from the CBN including Kingsley Obiora, Deputy Governor of Economic Policy Directorate.
