Keyamo Explains Why Some APC Governors Were Opposed To The Naira Redesign

Festus Keyamo, spokesperson of the APC Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) clarified why some All Progressives Congress (APC) governors opted to challenge the Federal Government’s naira redesign policy.

Discussing at a News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) forum in Abuja, Keyamo stated that taking a stand against the federal government on this policy displayed that, should Sen. Bola Tinubu win the Feb. 25 presidential election, he would ensure true federalism in Nigeria.

He added that it was Tinubu as governor who initiated going to court over issues with the federal government, stressing that the policy would not affect APC’s chances at the poll and claiming that what APC governors were doing was ‘being patriotic and purely altruistic’.
