Chelsea look set to secure the signing of Atletico Madrid’s attacking midfield sensation Joao Felix, with reports suggesting the Premier League club have already met demands regarding his loan deal.
Despite speculation linking the Portuguese star with moves to Manchester United and Arsenal, it appears Graham Potter’s Chelsea side have pipped their rivals to Felix’s signature.
The West Londoners reportedly informed Atletico they are ready to pay out the £9.7m fee required for the move, which could come as a huge boost for Chelsea given their recent injury crisis in the attacking department.
Jimy Floyd Hasselbaink believes Chelsea would benefit from Felix’s potential arrival and that Arsenal need a different kind of profile whilst United need an “out-and-out striker” rather than another winger.
Felix is also reportedly enthusiastic about joining Chelsea, with speculation even claiming he has already told his teammates he will soon be playing in England’s top flight.
