Manchester United are reportedly unwilling to meet Napoli’s asking price for Victor Osimhen, who has been in impressive form for the Serie A side this season.
The 24-year-old has scored 21 goals and provided four assists in 26 appearances, 19 of those goals coming in league play as they sit atop the Italian table 15 points clear of second place.
Although Man United and other clubs such as Arsenal have long shown an interest in the Nigerian hitman, Napoli will apparently not accept anything less than €150m (£132m) for their forward, a figure well beyond what Old Trafford is prepared to pay.
Rumours circulating suggest that Man United value Osimhen around €100m (£88m), but whether or not Napoli might be willing to drop the fee remains uncertain.
Osimhen has found the back of the net 49 times in 88 appearances during his spell at Naples and last year he voiced his ambition to compete in the Premier League at some point before his career ended.
In spite of these factors, President Aurelio De Laurentiis has repeatedly declared that Osimhen is not available under any circumstances
