The Independent National Electoral Commission has declared Alex Otti, the gubernatorial candidate for the Labour Party, as the Governor-elect, following a highly-controversial electoral process on Wednesday.
The final results were collated after the state collation center concluded the controversial election results from Obingwa Local Government Area (LGA).
In the said LGA’s results, the PDP garnered 9,962 votes and while the Labour Party, 3,776 votes.
Labour Party won in 10 LGAs, PDP in six LGAs and the Young People’s Party in one LGA.
Alex Otti emerged winner in the polls, scoring 175,466 ahead of second-place PDP, who garnered 88,526.
