President Bola Tinubu is set to announce his ministerial list, and it is rumored that former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai will be appointed as the Minister of Power.
Multiple sources have confirmed that the list has been submitted to the Senate for consideration.
The list has undergone several revisions due to disagreements from states and stakeholders.
El-Rufai has already started meeting with experts to address the power problem, which is a priority for the Tinubu administration.
“Yes, he’s there, as the Power Minister,” the source said.
Another source confirmed that the list was ready and that all security checks had been conducted.
“The list has been tinkered with several times by President Tinubu owing to disagreement from states and stakeholders,” the source said.
The source also revealed that El-Rufai has begun “to meet some experts he wants to work with to fix the power problem. It’s a take home the Tinubu administration wants.”
